Jerome, I expect a big recovery starting tomorrow. MSFT just blew away the numbers and said unit sales are great. We've been sinking first because of INTC, then DELL.

INTC said units are fine, but the street didn't care. (Again, units are fine, not to mention that PCs are no longer as big a component driving semi cap ex). Today, we went down more because of DELL saying they are going to put less DRAM in boxes. I guess everyone is thinking the semi equip buildout won't happen if DELL is shipping less memory. The truth is DELL doesn't dictate the amount of memory they ship, their customers do. DELL has made zillions on their efficient model and dropping component costs. Their profit growth is going to slow, but it won't stop semi cap ex.

CYMI here at 30ish is as good a bargain now as at was at six a year ago. Remember this post?

Jerome,

All the equipment stocks are tanking. Do we really believe this is a by-product of the general tech stock correction? How much did the California earthquake affect things with southern California companies?

Regards,

Doug
