From what I understand, keyboards are the least of their problems. I hear that Sony and Nintendo are, right now, politically timid of introducing this to their consoles. It is not a question of technology, it's a question of not waking the elephant up! Currently they are comfortable in the game console niche (and so they should be as it is the fastest growing segment of the entire industry). Why make a wave?

However you and I are talking about two or three years later. My gut feel is that the Japanese will win on inexpensive technology but the US will always beat them on creative content. The two together make an attractive symbiotic partnership.
