Windsock. As I say, call a tail a leg...and it remains a tail. Retail is retail. The channel means nothing. Froma bricks and morter store front owned by IBM, or from a Bricks and morter store owned by Price Co, or from an IBM telephone catalog center or from a third party telephone catalog center or from an IBM online operation or from a third party onlin operation people are buying IBM computers one at a time and paying sales tax. If they left retail you would not be able to buy them one at a time, from anyone or via anyonline depot.
It is really terminology, when IBM 'retailed' Aptivas...they sold to others are actually retailed in only a few places through their own stores(Toronto)
