We are hearing rumors that IBM will sell it's PC division to Dell Computers (DELL), enabling it to focus on more profitable product lines. It may take awhile for all the details to be worked out! The move would improve the company's bottom line. If you recall, a few months ago, Michael Dell stated that in his view the number of PC makers will be shrinking in the near future and he expects one of the major players will no longer be in the PC business! Presently, IBM and DELL have an arrangement under which IBM services DELL computers.
