>>I can not understand these analysts<<

At ground level, the analysts are sometimes difficult to figure out. But, at 30,000 feet, it's easier. Most likely, the analyst was recommending the stock because he felt that the earnings, (subsequently released) would be good. TXN enjoyed the earnings run. Now, its suffering the "post-earnings depression." Said differently, there is little news around in the upcoming weeks that will be positive for the stock.

The lesson here is: Buy on the rumor. Sell on the news. More specifically, buy before the earnings report. And, sell immediately before the earnings report. Don't hold a long position over earnings unless you don't care about a 10-to-20 percent dip.

Good trading, Glen

George,I believe TAX-selling in TXN will be a couple of
weeks affair.

There are 2 types of tax-selling for the next couple of
months.

Sell for loss.
Sell to protect the profit from loss.

They want the best price possible, so the drum beat. This
comm. market is so huge, the more competition, the better.

Quote from 'expert': "confirm the market".
