Big Bull, Angola is a supreme deepwater play, as good as deepwater GOM for potential IMO...I heard that Exxon recently drilled no less than 11 (!) successful exploratory wells in a row... The reason I know is because my Company was high bidder on that same block a while back. But Exxon in their wisdom (the number #2 bidder in Round One) hired the Angolan President's son and gave him a nice house and a big position... Hmmm what do you know Angola suddenly decides that all bidders after bids had been revealed had the right to "adjust" their bid... Well Exxon jumped their bid another $50mm and just nipped us in round 2...ha! Oh well all's fair in love and war....

Bull, I have always had dem deepwater fuzzies as you say. That's where the Texas-size bucks are. W Africa is coming along nicely, but the one to watch is Brazil. I have been away from the board for a week, so I'm behind the info curve. From the field Boom 2000 is alive and well. Looks like a lot of good buys here...PKD - it'll be back over five before Santa comes. I still like RIG a bunch...the Sedco deal still has not been given "proper" credit, IMO. It moves to mid-30's come January effect, or sooner. Just an ole Dog's thoughts...I'm better at selling rigs than predicting stock prices. big atoffshore.com
