If you thought only amazon.com could lure buyers through the Internet, think again. Anurag Gupta, chairman of Hexadecimal Computers, is bent on hard-selling India through yatraindia.com. Touted as the first encyclopaedic website on India, the site is a treasure house of information and is likely to attract many foreign tourists.

No more phone calls, no more leg work. All that an interested person need do to gather information is click on the site. Be it accommodation, art, culture or bazaar, you have it all on yatraindia. com. In the normal course, tourism ministry should be thankful to Gupta. But is it sulking for being beaten to the idea?
