The following is a quote from an October 1999 Business Week article:

<With surveys showing that the average American family now spends 9% of its free time online, the market for Web advertising could explode, growing from a projected $3.3 billion today to as much as $33 billion by 2004, according to market researcher Forrester Research Inc.>

First of all ---- Notice it is the same company quoted in both articles. Secondly, $33 Billion is a rather large number. What if this is actually a low estimate? What do these numbers mean to Go2net?

Top 10 web destinations get 70% - 75% of all advertising revenue. Here is the reason to not only hold on to the present # 9 slot but actually continue the momentum up! The momentum must continue to be concentrated on the narrowband for the next 18 to 24 months until the broadband takes hold.

Are there any estimates on the advertising growth for GNET assuming a continued position in the top ten.

In 2004???
70% of $33 Billion = $23 Billion
GNET gets 3% of the $23 Billion = $700 Million

Any comments would be welcome...

Best to All!
