Natural Gas Rises as Colder Weather Forecast for Eastern U.S.

quote.bloomberg.com

"Gas prices this winter should reach $3.78, and could go as
high as $4.50 if the winter is colder than normal, said Tom
Blakeslee, a trader at Eildon Marketing LLC in White Marsh,
Maryland. ``We had a small loss in supply and we've had greater
demand growth then people expected,' he said. ``No new houses
use heating oil anymore -- they're all on natural gas.'

With the coldest weather of the year still at least a month
away, utilities and marketers probably won't want to take gas out
of storage to meet unexpected demand, Saccente said. That may
mean an early supply squeeze as they seek gas on the spot market,
he said."

And to think that just last week someone was telling me that their company's $2.86 hedge this winter was a MUCH smarter move than staying unhedged.

JQP, Hmmm we're putting about 20-25 megawatts of generating capacity into a couple of our NG fields... remind us to get Solar Turbines,ha!

No GE turbines are world class- and the WFT/GE Compression JV will also make mucho money for both companies IMO....
