Some IR people will concede the obvious, if there is a big bullseye on their forehead. Pangea is not talking like there is even a hint of one on their's.

You're right. Only time will tell, and if the Ashanti properties revert to Pangea, that would tend to make them a more attractive target, but the $64,000 question would be; taken over at what value? The potential on these properties is huge and they have barely been scratched. Nobody knows what's there. Pangea may end up a takeover target but, I would think it would be a hostile venture. They don't know what their properties are worth. Nobody does. We'll see.
