I think it would be a particularly good idea for Hypermart to start it's merchant account program
( hypermart.net ) now that Billpoint
is phasing this out and is becoming a pure eBay vehicle.

Hypermartians (ha!) have been waiting a while...
maybe i'll just sign up for ccnow.com

can anyone else offer somecheap "Billpointesque" billpoint.com alternatives?

BA in Economics?

A constant growth rate is exponential! 11% per month, for instance, is exponential, as I recall.

Prashant I think your window is a bit small to make that kind of projection. When they announced it I think they really had about 530 already....back in the end of April when they took over Virtual Ave they had a total of 285 so it looks like they added about 265k in 6 months or about 45000 a month or 1500 a day.....thats truly remarkable and your right it seems to be increasing at faster rates but I don't think we can prove that...what is most amazing to me is this growth seems to be by word of mouth....that says plenty about what the users must think about hypermart....and I have this feeling we are just weeks away from hearing about some other virtual ave that gnet buys up...

Regarding hypermart's future I agree it is bright but it bothers me that in this model many of the businesses are so small that I don't think they will add much revenue from the Authorize.net kind of one stop billing/shopping cart....there is no real way to access what percent of existing hypermart businesses will participate with these services.

In this regard however, the recent rapid growth of Authorize.net is at least very encouraging. Authorize.net has added about 10k users since their relatively recent purchase by gnet. I believe it took them 3 years to get to 35k customers (and correct me if I am wrong) and about 4 months to add another 10k....this remember is occurring prior to Authorize.net being fully incorporated into hypermart so this growth should only continue to accelerate.
