gbh, may be Mr.Fun would like to comment about No.6
of his post:
"6. SBC will deploy Voice Trunking over ATM, a software technology still in early stages. Here LU is in great
shape with its SoftSwitch technology, already chosen by Williams for end-to-end call management. This could be
worth as much as $1billion."

Since SBC want to make Pronto project as cost affective as possible, how he view TereBridge 4000 platform for SBC voice over ATM.
As he pointed out, NN has significant amount of switches in SBC network, and more will be install under US 300 millions $
contract awarded to NN last year.
SBC stated that Pronto 6 billions is in addition to want has already been awarded, so NN most likely will install even more ATM switches in SBC network.
At this point it makes perfect economical sense to upgrade 36170 with TeleHub/Newbridge software for switch 4 substitution for fraction of price.

How much new revenue will get NN and LU will depend of
performance of 50 and 320 gig switch vs. new from ANSD/LU.
BTW, when ANSD will release its higher capacity switch for carrier trials.

Also, what he think about SBC using 3dSL from NN for TV and Videao offering, features which are not available on ALA ADSL(I am not talking about fast internet access).
NN is shipping its 3dSL to Kingson Comm., which is spending 158 millions pounds on upgrade ot its phone lines and to Bell Canada.

Thanks for MrFun's comments. You might ask if he's had an update on specific trials in key cities.

At this point NN and LU each have areas where their business is assured and areas where much is up for grabs. Alcatel's a slam-dunk for basic DSLAMs, but this doesn't include advanced solutions like NN's 3dSL. There's also a huge demand for gigabit switching and considering the 50/320 (up to 450) gig is shipping in early December, NN stands a good chance of beating the competition in this space.

As for the stock, the Street's waiting for a good quarter and there are only 11 more days till it officially ends. Once it's in the bag I suspect the Street will breathe a corporate sigh of relief.
