That is your definition not the industry's.

According to the industry, ONLINE SALES ARE NOT RETAIL. This is not open to argument. Whether the industry is right in this characterization can be debated.

In mobile computers, AMD has some 60%+ market share in retail. That does not include computers purchased from Dell by an individual for his/her use. Are you actually arguing this point?

Bill I do agree with you that IBM pulling out of retail stores does not necessarily mean AMD will lose that much sales. Heck if IBM is successful with their online initiative and they continue to push K6 and K7 like they are now, this could be a big positive for AMD.
