We had (probably still have) that book! (Harold)Wasn't it wonderful? Maybe that's where CW got his love of purple. Literary even at three. I really miss reading children's books. But I never saw "The Pobble Who Has No Toes". I'll have to look for it on my next library trip- it sounds like a mustread. I loved the Piggy in the Puddle. If it makes you feel any better, when I was preparing for recitals, my kids would say the same thing. "No sing, Mama." Didn't do much for the confidence level.
