Microsoft just pre-disclosed their pricing plan for win2000:

msnbc.com

Highlights: It will cost you $219 to upgrade from win 95/98 to win 2000. Yikes! Get a pirate copy if you can, if not, load Linux on your machine, it's free. It ain't worth $219 to pay for any consumer OS in my opinion.
