Kryotech Pushes Computer Speed Boundary to 900mhz; Cool Athlon 900
Available For Immediate Delivery

COLUMBIA, SC, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- KryoTech, Inc. today announced immediate availability of its Cool Athlon 900
system. Based on the recently introduced AMD Athlon(TM) processor, the Cool Athlon 900 is the world's first PC system to be commercially sold at this processor
speed. A standard AMD Athlon processor is ``thermally accelerated' to 900MHz by lowering the processor operating temperature with KryoTech's minus 40
degrees C cooling system.

KryoTech is selling the Cool Athlon 900 in a ``bare-bones' configuration for $2,200 (U.S. retail) and is taking orders online at www.kryotech.com for immediate
delivery. The Cool Athlon 900 will also be available in complete system configurations from KryoTech's authorized resellers. A complete list of domestic and
international resellers is also available on the company's website.

``The Cool Athlon 900 is our latest offering in a series of AMD processor-based products. KryoTech applies its expertise in cooling technology for CMOS
electronics to the industry's leading products, such as the AMD Athlon processor, to deliver the highest floating point, integer, and 3D multimedia performance for
x86 system platforms available today,' said Dennis Peck, KryoTech's Senior Vice President of Sales.

The standard AMD Athlon processor is an x86-compatible, seventh-generation design featuring a superpipelined, nine-issue superscalar microarchitecture optimized
for high clock frequency; the industry's first fully pipelined, superscalar floating point unit for x86 platforms; high-performance cache technology, including 128 KB of
on-chip level-one (L1) cache and a programmable, high-performance backside L2 cache interface; enhanced 3DNow!(TM) technology with 24 new instructions
designed to improve integer math calculations, data movement for Internet streaming, and DSP communications; and the AMD Athlon system bus-a 200MHz system
interface based on the Alpha(TM) EV6 bus protocol. The AMD Athlon processors are manufactured on AMD's 0.25-micron process technology in FAB 25 in
Austin, Texas.

KryoTech, the leader of Cool Computing©, was founded in 1996 by executives and engineers from NCR Corporation. The company engages in the design,
manufacture and marketing of innovative, active thermal management and cooling products and services for the computer and semiconductor industries. More
information about KryoTech and its products can be found on the company's website at www.kryotech.com

<Toshiba's new AMD 400 notebooks. This is big deal IMO.

Yup. This news popped up on CNET a day or two back. It is nice but looks like AMD will lose a lot of laptop sockets to CuMine in the near term - especially at the higher speed grades.
