I think it is simple enough to explain the recent drop in price. It happens all the time before it heads up much higher!!!

dilution of the stock value because of several acquisitions for stock. every time they issue stock to the holders of a Ramar, all of them come in to share the same JDSU pie we are holding. Jack, true enough, I guess, although the just acquired Epitaxx is supposed to be accretive. In any event, in the long run, if these acquisitions are (i) tuck-in to fill gaps in the product line or (ii) strategic in the sense of getting a jump on cutting-edge R&D with a more or less defined path to new product development, I'll gladly take it. KK and Dr. Jozef have done quite well so far. Steve
