another pump and dump like yesterday... msft will stay up because its uncharacteristic optimism... bad trade # will tank the rest of the market... amazing how msft beating an estimate by a few pennies can override big bad news like the record trade gap and worsening inflation... samir

Luc, I was down in KY doing some very basic research. <g> Definitely no plans to play the long side of the indices (although yesterday I did put a few bucks into a small cap stock that was crushed while I was away). It will be interesting to see how broad an advance can be mustered. If a rebound in the COMP is accomplished with only modest participation by other recently strong groups and smaller caps, it will be an indication that there's not enough liquidity to drive a healthy, sustainable rally.
