What rampant bullishness????? MOst people here are expressing patience, even caution...

Note the following matrix...

in the first four years of PRO E sales.... the numbers year by year were:

3 mil
11 mil
25 mil
45 mil

for a total of 84 million

for the first four QUARTERS of Windchill sales.... the revenues were:

5 mil
12 mil
25 mil
40 mil

for a total of 82 million in the first four quarters....

Few software products have shown such results in the first year of sales....

also.... estimates posted here regarding this qtrs windchill sales were between 40-50 million.... not just the 50 million you referenced in your post.

On a comparable basis....taking windchill alone...but even assuming a stable set of numbers in ptc's other product areas (which you can now begin to assume with some credability) windchill as a value exceeds many of the most optimistic valuations given lesser start ups in the market place...though it has in fact not received anything near such a valuation...

Based upon this qtrs dramatic earnings report... and the near term outlook, though still a show me company, ptc certainly does not deserve your continued poor outlook based upon what you offer to support that outlook...which is very little actually.

Short this puppy down to ten if you dare.

J

Rampant bullishness is justified, since the company put out well above average results and it is only the beginning of a long growth story.

Be negative, caustic, or use the worst form of stricture - PMTC is back and will go to $ 25+ in 2000!
