Janie: Back in the old days when I was a broker, around the time the Beatles made their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show and "Leave It To Beaver" was hot, the days when a 5 million share day on the NYSE was a huge volume day and if you wanted a quote on a non-NYSE stock you went to the "pink-sheets"..."churning" was something greedy brokers did to generate commissions; inducing clients to buy, sell, buy, sell with the broker the beneficiary, the client the sufferer. So I'm not sure what "churning" means in your post. (Lee)
