With this campaign, Go2Net is reaching out to regions in the South and Midwest where it has recently opened area sales offices, but where it has previously not had a strong outdoor advertising presence. Go2Net's pre-existing outdoor campaigns target the metropolitan areas of New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and San Francisco.

big deal, they're putting a go2net sign up in a stadium, like anyone even looks at it or cares. the reason i can not wait until earnings is that i would seriously like to know what they are doing with 300 million in cash. i hope that it is being put to use in some way or another. you definately want to see that the money is working instead of sitting. maybe they have a plan to focus 90 % of there efforts on the charter, broadband deal, but between go.com, goto, cnet, and the rest of them we look like we are losing the battle for name recognition. as a matter of fact, not one person i have spoke to in the last year and a half knows who go2net is. they always think it is the go network. this is a major problem. not going to be solved by putting a go2net symbol and a shark in a college football stadium. the problem i see with this stock going forward is that they are not a market leader in any category. they are not dominant anywhere. that is why i think that this charter broadband deal is the future of go2net, and that may be about all of the future. hypermart is nothing. every time i go to a hypermart site it is someone trying to rip me off by getting me to give them my credit card info from aol. or selling illegal dss cards, etc... there is no future or very little for small business on the internet. e-commerce is being dominated by the big boys now and more so in the future. silicon investor is dilluted with tons of players in this arena. everyone has a financial info site. search engines are even worse, there are many of them that do the same thing. what else, playsite, same situation... except worse. 100 hot, who cares about it? webmarket, useless.. metaspy, ok ? auctions, e-bay.. i am not saying that their products are bad, and anyone who has read my previous posts knows that i am holding a lot of go2net shares long. the problem is that the goal in business is to be a dominant leader in a growing market. they are taking little pieces of a pie from many markets. in the future that will not get the job done, the stock price will not appreciate on this alone. a year and a half ago when i started buying the stock it worked because of the lack of supply of i-nets. now, the market is dilluted. how will go2net sperate themselves ? aol is the isp dominant leader. csco is the infrastructure leader. msft software leader, intc is the chip leader, go.com and its affiliates dominates sports owning nfl.com, nba.com, espn.com, etc... cnet =information on technology, yhoo = leading one stop portal, etc.. etc... i realize a lot of you might be upset at what i am saying, but what i really want to know is this, what is our future ? will go2net be the leader in linking paul allen's wireless world or will we be the fourth or fifth guy in many categories ? what is it ? (please when you answer this dont creampuff go2net) i have never shorted the stock, i am just curious as to why i have to watch everyone else get stronger while we do nothing. have a great day...
