You can record "edited" TV programs to videotape as viewable video. This is facilitated by automatic Infra-Red control of the regular VCR. DataBase tracking of taped programs is a must. Assisted retrieval would be a plus. The mpeg data can also be recorded to videotape via a process that we have developed at cybercast5@aol.com A PC using a capture card such as Haupauges can emulate TIVO AND RePlay. TIVO has much more to come which will backward compatible to existing units. TIVO is a PC and will be used as one.
