Greg. only about 20% of the world's businesses are computerized. that leaves 80% to go. there's plenty of open land in that thar country. your comment regarding IBM may apply only in a fixed or decreasing customer market. but the market itself is growing by 20% per year; so Dell's current market grows even while they've been capturing a larger percent of those businesses adding systems (and/or changing).

then, as Mike stated, you have compulsion toward Office 2000.

IBM has necessarily needed to rework the Aptiva to fit the desktop business. they were about eight months behind Dell.
