Volume is unusually high for this time of day. Some funds may be selling a portion of their VTSS prior to the split so that the quantity of VTSS remains the same proportion of their holdings after the split. Some may be locking in profits. I bet buying comes back to the semi's in the beginning of November after the MMs have done their best to crush, pummel, and beat the semi's into submission so they can be rebought by the funds at fire-sale prices. TXN, RFMD, LSI, among others, have also been losing ground. This action is more reflective of the sentiment re semis than of VTSS in particular.
