i have day traded visx over the past year. tends to move in a 4-5.00 range. this stock in the 18 months preceeding july was up over 700%. entire sector very strong mar to july. the sector has seen some price retracement since due to some concerns: ltk vs lasik, fda approvals, pricing and competitive changes among others.
the the quarter over quarter procedure volumes for most of these stocks has been phenomenal and laser care is still in its infancy. i am looking for re entry in late dec. i believe prices will be at their lowest then and y2k will already be priced in. i will be buying(likely) visx, beam and perhaps bol. will be watching lzrc and lvci. i like their concept of mobile laser centers. i think 2000 and beyond will be strong for the entire sector.
hope that helps charlie
