Isn't a rate increase already factored into prices? If not, why did the market drop 12% last week?

Eric,

A better scenario would be Greenspan raises rates - even 50 basis points and a return to a neutral bias rather than leaving rates unchanged and leaving the uncertainty. I think everyone has a raise in rate dialed in ----- albeit probably only 25 basis points. I'll take 50 if we can get to a neutral. Worst case scenario is a 25 basis point hike and a remaining tightening bias....that would be baaaaaaaaad!
