KLP, I was just musing about a feeling I have about message boards after someone posted a message that the board has been dead lately. I dunno, it is just a feeling that something about them has changed, at least for me. I get the feeling this is like two television set up to face each other and each one is blabbing but no communication is going on. That is what I meant with the comment about "changing anyone's mind" or "effect the price of the stock" SI has a lot of MicroCap boards that I don't have any interest in and don't pay any attention to them. The value I get is when someone posts something of interest about the stock or posts (yet another) good link. I doubt if portfolio managers or anyone who could affect the price of a stock wastes their time on the message boards. I don't know at all that the Raging Bull has worse "quality" than SI but it has one great feature over SI and that is you can list the posters you want to exclude and never see their posts.
