XOI leading the way out?

We'll know in the next few days.

Compare XOI with OSX. Type in OSX in the add box. Looks like the XOI is putting in the bottom and outperforming OSX.

Maybe we'll get lucky, eh? Crunch time.

One upgrade today, Anadarko Petro (APC) from Buy to Strong Buy by CSFB.

JimL, you and I agree on the sector awareness value of eye-popping earnings (like OEI back from a 14 cents/share loss last year to a 17 cents/share profit this year, same quarter). That's the best publicity money can buy.

Big Dog, PKD has attracted my attention. Besides upgrades to Buy and Strong Buy in August, I like their strategy of selling land rigs to finance their pursuit of deep water drilling; it may be what they do best and there's plenty of money to be had. I don't know if he can take it to the bank, but it can't hurt that Robert Parker just got the API Gold Medal for Distinguished Achievement.

Jon Cave, for the Wednesday DOE report on crude oil stocks, I go to the DOE Data Publications page

eia.doe.gov

then select Crude Oil Watch, and then select Most Recent.

Third quarter earnings reports are proving that oil related companies can prosper with $18/barrel oil - $20+/barrel oil is a huge bonus. Those first in line at the oil payout window are already walking away with wads of cash (EOG, OXY, & OEI) - the rest of the line will get their turn soon enough.
