GW,

I think these comments are the typical conservative tone of Cohu.

The thing to keep in mind they outline their problem with new handlers and with providing a handler that meets the industry of DRAM market and yet this is a quarter where they have a BTB of 1.24 and TER is below 1.0??? The tone of the SEC filing is not consistent with their results.

As far as whether these are new comments I would recommend you look at their comments in the previous 10Q. They made the same comment related to the DRAM market. I also recall they said something about the workforce issue. It is important to note their competition have the same issue regarding the workforce dynamics.

Bottom line, Cohu had a great 3rd quarter and the BTB data and backlog confirm the 4th quarter will also be great. Cohu has momentum greater than TER. Most importantly, semi-prices are increasing (not decreasing as is normal) and fabs are operating a very very high capacities. This is clearly the beginning of a cyclical rebound for semi-equip makers and there is no reason to believe this will be a short lived rebound. It is important to note many in the industry felt that with the Y2K issues semi-companies and there equipment makers would be doing very poorly right now. Next year is definitely going to be great and the current share price will look like an incredible bargain in 6-12 months.

Good luck.
