RE: RE:Sam-I believe ,as some have mentioned, that MD--- just might have a "special announcement" at the Nov 11th meeting-he may be planning a little enjoyment feature---- ramming it to--- etc etc-- the naysayers.wbm-Any thoughts?--Ps: I can not believe their management team will not figure jury rig some way around the DRAM situation. William, I believe Tommy Meredith did say that any shortfall due to the DRAM price hike could be possibly made up by the other higher margin products DELL sells. But Business Week stated that since this problem occurred so late in the quarter there was no time to offset the margin pressure. Hence the fact that this is a short-term hiccup for DELL, and will be more than made up next quarter. Let's hope so anyway! Hadn't heard 'bout this "special announcement", hope there is one but not holding my breath. The good thing though is expectations have now been reduced for Nov 11, so if we do beat estimates the stock will rocket! Best wishes, Sam
