It appears in the market environment today that there are very few long-term investors anymore. Everyone is a trader, including fund managers, and that has permeated over to the individual investor. Its take your 5-10 points and run. That's what the Fed has created in its verbal zeal to squash B.S. inflation. Then you have the Cramers & Tices of the world to spew their total B.S. Then you have shows like 20/20 to bring up old B.S. again. If cell phones caused radiation why is PHCM up some 20+ points today. Is is that their WAP protocol eliminates radiation - why isn't this selling off. The market today is made up of a bunch of wimps, crybabies and crap mongers who have the vision of an ant. Now if the funds are mandated to hold a certain percentage in a particular group or stock, then they have to sell - I can accept that. I can accept that maybe someone has some "inside info" on maybe not so stellar earnings to come out of Q. I can accept valid reasons. Now I see commercials with Geena Davis, Coach Phil Jackson trading on movie sets, in limos. What is this the telling average investor who is looking long-term. Why don't we all quit our jobs, let the economy fall flat on its face and we all become short-term traders for a living. That will be easy - no one working - no one producing anything - just short stocks and take the money. We'll all see where Q is 1 year from now, let alone how high it can go 2-3 years from now. Such total B.S. today - such total B.S. I've said my piece - back to lurking again reading posts from many who have no conviction or backbone.
