MAYNARD, Mass., Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- SeaChange International, Inc. (Nasdaq: SEAC - news)today announced outstanding financial results for its third quarter ended September 30, 1999. Revenues for the quarter were $21.4 million, compared to $17.8 million for the third quarter of 1998, which represents a 20.5% increase year to year. The net income for the quarter was $374,000, or $.03 per
share. This compares to a net loss of $1.1 million, or $.08 loss per share, in the third quarter of 1998.``Our sequential growth continues, with a significant increase over last years' quarterly revenue, in spite of our typical seasonality,' said Bill Styslinger, president and CEO, SeaChange International. ``This quarter we strengthened our position as a leader in digital television systems as our broadened product lines gained continued support of television operators around the world. In fact, international revenue contributed its largest share ever as a total of system revenue. In China, Guangdong cable will be delivering VOD services for educational applications. And Telewest in the UK is also moving forward with SeaChange for VOD.'
