Last year Asia, this year Y2K. Every weak sister company is blaming their poor performance on Y2K. Briefing: 08:50 ET: The blues from Big Blue... The S&P futures contract is down 12 pts, and with fair value already at a negative 6.6 pts, it suggests that the Dow will open significantly lower this morning by at least 145 pts... The reason for the poor market tone is IBM after the giant computer maker posted in line Q3 results but warned about upcoming results, partly due to Y2K issues...
