Hello teevee,

Glad to see that you've nothing better to do than expound on your "investing beliefs" on this thread. Why not keep to the WSP thread, or back on Stockwatch? Can't pass up an opportunity to spread your "wisdom"?

Fortunately, I can recall the real wisdom of a sage investor: "they will only try beat you down when they think they can", and " they'll never pick on you after a winner, only a loser".

It is nice to know that you clearly fit into this group of "theys".

It sure would be nice to see someone as learned as you acting in a manner befitting a dignified person.

As an aside, you seem to hold yourself out to be an expert in "value" investing. Could you please point to holdings in Berkshire Hathaway that fit your description of value in the resource sector? You will no doubt find, that Warren Buffet, like many true value investors, sees absolutely zero value in any commodity related industries, because the earnings and cash flow cannot be accurately forecast for any mid to long term period. Charles Brandes has a nice book, called "Value Investing" or something just like that, that would be a nice read for someone less informed like yourself.

I think that what you are mistaking for value investing can be better described as long term sector rotation. I'd suggest, that with the quality, and quantity of leisure time you obviously enjoy, that you put yourself back on the learning curve and grab yourself some basic investing books. Perhaps then, armed with the strategies and tested theories of truly successful investors, you could come back and tell us all just what you've learned.

I hope to hear from you soon.

PS See if you can figure out why Buffet bought Dairy Queen, and why Brandes is heavy in the Far East right now. Bonus points if you can provide the right answer!

Thanks for the information and pointing out our mistake. It was very informative. I had absolutely no idea, and I will admit I am in denial. I truly thought that SUF was a large cap cyclical. I will be selling all my holdings tomorrow.

Boy is my face red.

Regards,

Dean
