My uncle is 85 and normally lucid. However, like so many of the elderly, he loses it when he is very ill--which he is now. He may have congestive heart failure, but he refused to take an echocardiogram. He has what appears to be a terrible case of cellulitis in his legs and feet. It takes two strong people a lot of agility and strategizing merely to get him out of the wheelchair and into the bathroom! And he signed himself out yet again.
