OT Well, when the fever has hit the entire state of Vermont, buddy, you know it runs deep. 5M house going in 5 minutes from me with the works. Ridiculous. Just sold a house up here for 25% above the highest true appraisal for the place. Snuck into a nicer town, and just appraised at 75% above what we paid a year ago. Houses are going up here on word of mouth, no broker, no wait, lots of cash. But the banks must be winking and nodding to the appraisers on the good risks. Can't get a contractor, general or sub to do anything for months. When it gets this hot in New England, there's no concern for global warming....things will cool down on their own in good time.
