Well Richard... no matter how much we both despise our current CinC, I hardly believe he can be blamed for what happened to the POG, or whether he sold all of that yellow metal supposedly stored in Ft. Knox or the NY Fed.

Even the head of the World Gold organization doesn't believe the US has sold their gold. So I guess she's supposed to be the expert so you'll have to take it up with her and convince her that there's no gold in Ft. Knox.

As for paying subsidizing gold miners or the gold industry, I would rather have them all retrained or reassigned to mine some other commodity that has more industrial importance.

Somehow, I don't believe meeting the artificial demand for Gold coins, rings, and other trinkets is the best use of taxpayers dollars. And Gold demand IS ARTIFICIAL since by subsidizing the gold industry and locking up gold reserves, they are propping up the price and making gold more expensive than is necessary.

Regards,

Ron
