<<Does anyone know how to trim old kitties claws just a little bit? So they don't get stuck in things? EVERYTHING? But they can still use them for D and "stuff"? >>

Yowser, take the cat to the vet. Dogs you can clip, horses you can file, cats go to the vets.

I've filed cat claws just with a little emery board nail file... Works well to take just the sharp little hooks off the ends of the claws... Has to be a quiet cat though....

I tried it myself. Once. ONCE. Never again. Actually wrangled the cat so that I could take a whack at the claw with the trimmer, and cut her to the quick! Never again.

Curare and a floor-model belt sander. eom
<edit> If you add a goodly dollop of Versed (midazolam) to the mix, the cat wonn't remember. And by extension won't remember to hate you.
