Jim,

Heres the night session....the most actives INTC holding up well...maybe a delayed reaction coming as Paul
suggests. SYMBOL COMPANY NAME LAST DIFFERENCE IBM IBM 100 -7 AMGN Amgen Inc. 83 15/16 -2 3/16
AOL America Online 113 1/2 -4 1/2 INTC Intel Corporati 69 7/8 -1/16 ...

Holy Cimoli, maybe the notion that Netfinity rules at IBM, and the rest of their servers suck, is out on the street.

Tony

does anyone know how the close on NYSE affiliates works...it looks like IBM closed at 108 before the bell (on quote com)...on 395,000 shares in the last minute of trading at 3:59...thats down over 4 pts during the last minute...but cnbc, etc lists the close at 112+...indicating the decline to 108 (or 107) was after market but before after hours trading...in after hours it close ~$99-100/shr..

also the futures market tanked after the market closed (~8 pts) but before globex opened...so globex only shows S&P futures down 8.5 pts, but they are down about 16 pts from the time the NYSE closed....how does that work?? seems like the futures, as related to S&P, are actually down an additional ~8pts in addition to what globex says..look at quote com

anyone knowledgeable about this?? comments??
