Frank,
My Dad was the publicity agent for Steeplechase Park back in the late 50's & 60's.

The family would make the trek from Levittown to Coney Island nearly every summer weekend. Mom would find a shady bench to read while Sis and I would have our fill of rides. I can still remember that guy flipping the buns at Nathan's and will never forget my Dad taking me for my first ride on the Cyclone.

Dad is gone now as is Steeplechase (and the better part of Coney) but those were some days I will never forget.

Thanks for a wonderful story, you made my day!

Gordon
