Bill, Re: Thus their market research is debased and of lesser value. They should differentiate sales by venue, Direct or mediated, retail or wholesale. Their contributors just need to be asked the questions with precision.

Komrade Jackski - Re: ". It lacks information as it cannot tell the difference between retail and wholesale, since both can go direct. Thus their market research is debased and of lesser value. They should differentiate sales by venue, Direct or mediated, retail or wholesale. Their contributors just need to be asked the questions with precision."

PC Data has been reporting AMD Retail market share this way for over two years - and you SUCKED UP ALL THE GOOD NEWS - until the GOOD NEWS turned to BAD NEWS.

So why, after TWO YEARS, are you getting your nose out of joint as to PC Data's method of reporting RETAIL PC sales.

Get used to it.

Learn to live with it.

Suck it up - and get on with life.
