JFD, But from what I have seen they seem to throw the baby out with the bathwater continually as the fund managers try and compete with the indexes.

That is why i believe that any sell off in MSFT will be very short lived. A company with earnings and good outlook is the one that they should be buying. Once MSFT bounces back, the Naz will be affected in a big way causing the others with good outlooks also to rebound. I have a feeling the market will not be throwing out the baby with the bathwater this time. It is too good an opportunity to pick up a company like MSFT and a handful of others. I think the buying pressure will increase as managers realize that this might be the last October opportunity.
