Lucius,
I've been following Sebl as long as Ctxs. I've been wanting to buy but the valuation just seems rediculous. Back in February I was only willing to pick up one software co., due to the y2k effect knocking the crap out of software. Anyway, I chose ctxs because they seemed better positioned. I'd be interested to know your thoughts on the current valuation, wheather there is the potential for significant upside to earnings not currently being factored in to the estimates, etc., and what you think might be a good entry point.

On another note. To thread, it's curious that the authors of that article would find a lag significant enough to comment on. As long as I have been following ctxs, since about February, I've never seen this as an issue before. In fact one of the possitives for ctxs has been it's ability to significantly beat the alternatives and in it's ability to replicate the pc desktop experience, including speed. Or have I just been missing something.

Thanks,
David P.

A comment from the Fool CTXS thread...tekboy

I just listened to the Citrix conference call. It wasn't particularly interesting, and I can't say that I learned anything new, other than that most posters on this board understand the company better than many of the analysts who participated in the CC. A lot of the analyst questions were carefully disguised variants of "Tell me how this company works." It reminds me of the analyst who recently began coverage of CTXS with a Hold, citing "Y2K fears." Whatever.

Potential Gorilla Game Bowling Alley alert: Prez. Mark Templeton was talking about the complexity of large-scale corporate deployments, and he described to a large extent it depended on how much "pain the customer is in." I wonder what book he's been reading. ;-)

Metaframe is not a solution to ASP-izing products except as a very short-term stop gap 'get a presence out there' temporary solution.

Citrix has a new set of products designed for this purpose.
