Let's talk about the Dow.

I know there are a few of you that watch this guy even though you may not admit it...

I think this will be one of my last posts on the Dow but it does seem to stimulate conversation.

Looking at the chart it is wanting to complete the low pole formation with a 50% retrace. Not yet but thinking about it. The real test will be the support at 10,000. On the 100 point chart we have the same thing happening. This is not a surprising bounce from such a washed out level.

With the NYSE BP so low and all the indicators in over sold territories we'd have to have some very unexpected news come out to break that support. Admittedly, I know nothing about the world's doings I'm just analyzing the charts. The NYSE BP shows us that only 33% of stock are on a buy signal and those on high poles have come down significantly. Many have given a sell signal. Recently we have seen small surges not resulting in buy signals but followed by a reversal, even if that reversal results in a sell signal, sets up a closer buy. Of course until it happens we don't know but months ago I talked about the volatilty needed to create bases and then buy signals which would change the direction of the indicators. The High Low had it's moment of reversal already and is set for a buy signal at a very low level. Now we gotta get the others to reverse up, reverse down and then give a buy.

However, with the NYSE BP down this low a reversal up in itself IS a buy. No double top needed.

For fun watch some of your favorite stocks. For instace PFE gave a buy signal today after volatility (damn nice chart) and some others are starting to do the same. Just peruse DWA and see who is set for some lower buys. This is just for fun but it will get you to feel the charts as we enter into this great buying opportunity.

Take care, more later.

What would you think about GALT as a short here....would you wait for it to come back up a little first? I'm not actually planning on doing it...I'm just trying to get a better feeling for what is/isn't a good shorting possibility.

Thanks.
