Hi Jan.

As I seem to stay in a perpetual state of ignorance here <g>, I have to ask this question -

During long bear mkts (as in the 70's), how does one interpret the nysebp when it gives buy signals, along with the s/t indicators?

Rereading that, I guess it doesn't sound right but shows you the state of confusion I'm in.<VBG>

I guess what I'm asking is this- is it possible to be in a bear market and have buy signals on all of the above?

Or, if/when we get buy signals, are we even in a bear market?

See how confused I am????

Morning Princess...yes I agree on the NYSEBP but that has little to do with cooking the the current CPI numbers with old data generated over a holiday weekend....they seem to think people don't read the full reports and only believe what is fed to them...

Looks like this was done for political reasons, so as not to tank the market any further...JMHO

Ms. X:
I am glad to find this thread. After following you guys for a while,
I have bought Tom's book.
Since I am new in this thread, Could you tell me What is NYSE BP and
OPTI? And where can I find the data?

Thanks,

F.L.
