Granted, the report failed to distinguish between TDMA phones and CDMA phones. They did zone in on the TDMA phones made by Nokia, though. The report showed that TDMA and phones do not meet Federal safety requirements. I laughed when I saw the safety profile for the ATT Nokia 6160. What a joke! The phone exceeded the safety requirements in every test.

The lower power requirements for CDMA phones make the technology much safer. This is why is Nokia suffering so badly in the CDMA handset market. They lack the R & D to keep up with the Q's ASIC technology which continues to increase capacity and lower power consumption.
