Barb, Congratualtions on your superior performance! Indeed, the two asset classes are different, as Andrew also pointed out. There is yet another (major) difference, though, I suspect. From the perspective of most (please note the most) retail traders, the main difference is possibly that while their real estate values has appreciated, their option portfolios has depreciated. This applies to both bulls and bears. As for whether or not any individual is in some particular way superior to most other individuals, the choice is entirely personal. I have heard a rumour that most individuals think that they are different from most other individuals. I know that I am not. Hmm. Does that make me different from most? :-) -BGR.
