It could be, most of the e-trading brokers say volume is down at least J6p has slowed on the flipping. I don't flip as much either. I think recent volume has been more the arbitragers.. and being them guys work on scalping spread they don't help the market that much. The dollar seems to be the key for right now, it's been under attack and I keep looking for a bottom but each time it looks like it found one and goes up a tad in a day or two it gives it back and ducks lower.
