Joe:
Have you tried buying online at the SanDisk store? <www.sandisk.com>

The stores available online that carry SNDK are too numerous to post here.

Fry's carries SanDisk Imagemate. I recommend buying a RCA Lyra for $200, in addition to the MP3 player, you get a 32 meg SNDK CF and a CF card reader.

Joe - You might try Office Depot for SNDK products. I just got their catalog in the mail, and they carry the SanDisk Memory Reader for $79.99, 10MB CF - $49.99, 20MB - $79.99, 40MB - $119.99, a CF Travel Case - $6.99, and a Flash Adapter - $12.99.

There are a couple of possible conclusions one can draw from your experience at CompUSA. First, Lexar may have trouble selling OEM and may be discounting heavily to retail stores. Second, given the huge demand SNDK is getting for its CF from manufacturers, it is very likely that SNDK feels it can and should ignore the retail outlets (other than its own) in favor or establishing long term relationships with appliance manufacturers. Finally, if the patent suit is resolved in favor of SNDK, it would be far more difficult to get compensation for Lexar units sold piecemeal through retail outlets than through manufacturers of equipment using CF.
