Hi Charles,

Talking about road blocks.. Have you ever driven around Mexico. Two years ago we drove around Baja for awhile, just for the helluva it. We like Mexico.. So we thought we drive this time and check it out. Crossed at Tecate, over to the Sea of Cortez, etc.. Everybody warned us.. Don't do that, too dangerous..etc.. But we had no problem. We always get along well with the locals though.

Except the first time you come around a corner and see those road blocks. Bunkers on both sides.. big guns.. but just kids.. Since we had no guns or drugs.. we were fine.. They would look in the Cherokee a little bit, especially the coolers.. My wife knows a little Spanish.. I know the important words,.. Mas coffee, dos Pacificos etc. so we could communicate. BUT the first time?? It's just a presence for them, like our highway patrols, I decided..

Actually there were two guys from Reno that got whacked down there about that time. driven down to fish.. but a friend told me they were in a bad area or town.. Probably trying to score something.
